Best stuff I've heard so far is Hydro's Aborigination album from 1997 on Engage Records, distributed by Alliance... I have not listened in a while so I can't really give a review. 'Some' of the stuff from Virus on N-Soul touches on the IDM direction. If you like stuff like The Orb, Global Communication, Irresistible Force and general Chill-out then there's an album called return to Ritual by Synergy on dbass records that's well worth listening to... Also in this direction is Spam-On/ my own Love Frequency project... a lot of Orb, Orbital, Eno, Art of Noise influences in there... glitch-free at the moment though i'm afraid ;) I'm still in the process of setting up my Grain Records website with mp3 downloads but you can get a listen at the dreaded mp3c. http://www.mp3.com/tlf for a pot-luck history of earlier work (only new track is Helix Nebula) /Spam-Off I would not raise your hopes of finding anything truly cutting-edge though... one usually has to wait until everyone else has moved on before the church joins the bandwagon.... maybe cut, click n' glitch is the new Devil's music ;) Peace Zozzy --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
