I ran into this hot Hotline server about 8 months ago - it was called
Macro-Fi, and it hosted mp3's from new idm/phx-hop artists as well as some
from more established people in 'idm' scene under different aliases.. They
had some original tracks as well as phx'ed remixes of top10 artists like
Eminem, Madonna and Ruff Ryders, and were somehow affiliated with
Schematic. The mp3's are really enjoyable and I was wondering if the
collective is still running. The Hotline server is nowhere to be found and
the website has no information whatsoever, only an image.
Understandably this sort of projects need to be quite mysterious because of
potential troubles concerning copyrights, but it would be cool to hear
more. So if anyone has any info feel free to drop me a line!
