>Joseph Fitzpatrick, the man behind Phluidbox, comes from Tennessee, US, but
>his work has not much to do with the sounds we usually expect from that
>part of the planet. This ep, astonishingly mature for a first complete
>work (his discography until this moment was appearances in compilations
>like Fat Cat ?No Watches No Maps? and ?Integral Components? on Component
>Records), is a big surprise full of rhythm and noisy but balanced melodies.
>Architectural and organic sounds and beats, combined with a powerful taste
>for melodies, charming details with an optimistic, openminded fresh air.
>Crunchy sounds, invisible sequences, showing a precise state of mind, or
>habits, in which one can reflect, or at least, partly recognize oneself.
>>From Phluidbox?s beginning in 98, when he was apparently attending classes
>at college, to the conclussion of ?these found habits?: doubtless a work
>where you can see the interest of his author for the deep emotions in each
>final track, more than the obsession for the newest software.
>A very clear proposal, full of ideas about what means today to ?make music?
>and what is contemporary electronics. Definetely for emotional audiences.

>Ah...the delights of the bleep. Almost nobody, since long time has brought
>to the point what lies between the Bleep than Phluidbox on the first track
>of his 5 track EP. Short, to the point, on its way to the sky and happy
>with the smooth basses, spraid melodies and supported beats. Long lives the
>sinus-wave and its kids. Similar funky but quiet but with a lot of calmness
>inbetween electric sounds, fantastic mood, and playful euphoric technic
>continues on the tracks in a suggestive path going through charmingly
>elegiac and twinkling polyphonies, and open to new worlds that pound with
>joy. Perfect.
