It's difficult to make such comparison. They are similar in many aspects, but quite different in others. It seems that "Amnesiac" is more "guitar and song" oriented. On the other side, "Kid A" had some marvelous songs too. "Amnesiac" is, again, a Radiohead's look into the seventies (like in "OK Computer"), but strongly influenced by electronica (Autechre, Aphex Twin) and less retro.

Have no idea. It will depend of many things, but I don't see Thom Yorque and Jonny Greenwood going back to "The Bends" sounds...
