What were you doing? Dancing? Jesus, haven't you been paying attention? I actually liked Otto's set the most, and I'd never heard of him until last night. His set was a grumpy hipster IDM lister's nightmare though; even the most beyond-uber-LA people were dancing around and shakin' it. It was cool to see so many people dancing around and being generally fun to music that isn't the usual club fare. However, everyone will be happy to know there weren't many of those filthy ravers who "eat XTC and dance to trance but they do not exert themselves to a point of ecstasy with rhythmic movements." Phew! I hate it when people distract me when I'm trying to be cool, and ravers are very distracting in that regard. While I was sitting down, I was handed a nifty cd-r by someone called logreybeam. We listened to it on the way home, and it sounds pretty cool. Floaty melodies and little teeny IDM beats. I noticed they have mp3s at www.soundmangle.com for anyone interested. Anyway, thanks for the cd-r logreybeam, wherever you are. ---- "There is no gang of 'intelligent techno' freaks here who break showroom windows to steal pocket calculators." - Jouni Alkio http://component.robotcore.net jeff@spof.net --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
