heck yep pop is abbreviation for popular but stylistically I wouldn't
say that anything popular is Pop music.
For instance Patrick Hernandez was popular but he did Disco hits.
Autechre aren't pop, stylistically, and mind you they aren't even
popular outside of a certain scene, which isn't so huge.

not funny ?! cry ?!? clicks and pops ? What ? No Adam I dunno what that
is at all, when I think Pop the first music which comes to mind would be
the Beatles... And certainly tons of other ones which were really good
at writing catchy melodies.
