As true as these things are, they're just weak excuses for people who wish one artist were more popular than another. You're not supposed to wish for popularity, you're supposed to hunker down in your corner and silently cherish how special you are for being one of very few people who are fans of your pet obscure artist. Face it, that's why we're all into this in the first place - it makes us feel good to like obscure stuff because we're special, part of an elite in-crowd. [Please employ use of Sarcasm Detector version 3.7 or later before considering flame responses. Thank you.] Seriously, though, I firmly believe that attention paid to artists is the attention they deserve. Not a measure of worth or "who's better" kind of stuff. Cultural attention is kind of like breathing - it's a natural process that just *happens*, and while you can try to force more or less air if you're conscious of it, you're not going to be doing yourself any good. -Ambassador Love Damek, High of Lord __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
