thanks for the nice words, seems like you´ve got the same idea of music as i do. about current and upcoming releases; the mokira 7" you mentioned is actually recorded "pre-cliphop" which means that the material was recorded between 1999-2000. and the 12" on mitek is not something that we are working with for the moment, but the reslab compilation is released. this week (i think) there´s a new 12" coming up, with "datakom" as we call ourselves this time. datakom is the same persons that is behind "skitus" and the 12" "data_01" that was released in march, great review in de bug by the way...the style is more technooriented than my other current projects, joel brindefalk (from börft and loop records) is the other half of those two projects. there are two compilations coming, one from pause_2 that includes a new andreas tilliander track, and one from fylkingen with mokira. i guess this is it of the coming releases in the near future, there are other stuff planned as well, but nothing settled yet. i´m playing at wmf at a ~scapenight in berlin: june 6th 2001 - 12 p.m. clubscape @ WMF-Lounge ziegelstr. 23 berlin-mitte andreas tillander (mille plateaux, stockholm) - LIVE! ole lütjens (betalounge, hamburg) - DJ barbara preisinger (-scape, berlin) - DJ videosystems by visomat inc. -----Original Message----- From: Lance McGannon [mailto:lance@inaudible.com] Sent: den 5 maj 2001 19:21 To: Andy Battle Cc: idm@hyperreal.org Subject: Re: [idm] andreas tilliander... Yes i wholeheartedly agree. I posted my kudos on the Andreas Tilliander album back in March and it's STILL just as impressive a listen as it was the first time. His Mokira cd on Raster is also good but it a different way from Ljud. The Mokira stuff is still dubby but even 'more' skeletal to the point where much of the tracks are almost 'implied' where you can hear in your head what sounds would have been in the icy spaces between the notes. I also have the new Mokira 7" on order. i'm interested to see what sound Tilliander will undertake on that one. It's limited to 100 so whatever sound he does try wont be heard by too many. but dont worry. i'll let you all know what you missed. : ) Also coming soon from Andreas Tilliander will be a split 12" with Mikael Stavostrand (who does some pretty good experimental techno-dub himself) and a track on the Reslab compilation both on Stavostrand's own Mitek label.
