Ah good, that's what I wanted: something musical. It seems now that in the modular world people are finally moving away from wankery and into more musical territories. As much as I love sound design and appreciate modular gear for that aspect, I've not seen it applied much in a musical regard.

pretty good display of modulars being used for nice musical stuff that's very tightly structured

you totally nailed it Kent on the mastering and sonic character. it's still super clean and polished, something i liked about his earlier work. but yeah more subdued.

My CD was in the mailbox last night with an additional CD included of enough bonus tracks it might as well be another album. I knew I was getting some extra tracks, but I totally forgot it would be that many!
I'll have to drive around later and give it a listen; there was one particular track up on YouTube that I really liked and I'm thinking of picking up a few modular pieces, so that was my main incentive for buying this album (well that and I was entered into some sort of modular giveaway for ordering a physical copy). Other than that, I tried to avoid listening to anything from it before it's arrival. Might have to put a coupla' bucks on mum's credit card and buy a joint to enhance the listening experience. I really like Datach'i's drill n' bass of yore, though I'm obviously not expecting anything of the sort. Really just hoping for an old-fashioned IDM album.

Yesterday I have received the vinyl.
The bonus track didn't come with the download for me.

(not that the bonus tracks are sitting out there in my mailbox lol, but I did order the CD several months back...I don't remember what all came with such physical release)

Did anyone on here get the bonus tracks? I pre-ordered the vinyl which I was led to believe meant I got the bonus tracks as well, but I have yet to receive them or any notification from the Planet Mu store.

It's actually out as of today. I like the songs, but I really like the sonic texture. It's mastered a bit 'low' meaning there's a lot of dynamic range and the percussion is very punchy and edgy.
