Since i read earlier about someone wanting to know what idm "feels" like to
others, I decided I'd be a dork and share my reoccuring idm car experience.
So I'll be driving in my car. . .it's midafternnon and i'm in the zombie
driving mode that's particular to driving in the afternoon when suddenly
I'll freak out and think that i've left my turn signal on or that my radar
detector is going off. For a split second my zombie mode will shatter and
i'll be allert only to discover. . alas. . I did turn off my signal at that
last turn or. . no, my radar detector is not going off. It's like this
really bizarre feeling i get after i realize that it must have been some
sound generatored by my half ass car stereo blaring whatever tweaked out
sounds i may have chosen for the day. Then with my sun glasses on, I'm
quite disoriented for a few mintues and I imagine that this pange of panic
is akin to that of the madhatter running late for lunch and i start to
wonder what exactly I have forgotten to do today. Anyway, it's such a
distinct feeling when that happens to me. thought i'd share.
