i just moved to Seattle in March and went to the above per recommendation from this list. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER step foot in the store again. One of the most rude group of employees i have ever run across in my endless exposure to USA retail- the blokes epitomized the higher than thou attitude so often stereotyped with record store employees. Your mileage may very, but i was floored by the way they treated their customers like SHIT. ugh. oh and there ambient/experimental section sucked. All the others you listed (below) are right on, and worth checking imo as well. But you did forget my favorite record store of them all- Wall Of Sound in downtown Seattle, 2237 2nd Street. A fantastic selection of idm, ambient, and lots of experimental/uncategorizable. Plus a great world music section if you happen to be after that. The best of all worlds imho. Tell em Thad sent you! ;) -Thad on now- Out Of Perspective: Compilation (on Soup-disk)
