I just joined this group and I must say that the software looks very good.
It appears to perform very well for chat and file sharing, as good as I have
seen elsewhere. Not many people on yet, but it is really great to browse
files that are pretty much just IDM. IMHO this could be a great way to do
something positive as an actual community. In the end we will all purchase
the CDs or vinyl of the stuff we really like, anyway.

Well, I received several public and private responses on the subject of a
file-sharing forum, it seems to be favorable to most people who responded.
If you want to join us, git the software at www.soulseek.org, we're in the
entertainment/music/user-created-rooms/IDM room. To search the files of
people in the room (only a few of us now :) use the search for files in room
button in the toolbar. To browse a user's files right click their name in
the room user list and choose Browse User Files. My username there is plaid,
got all my techno CDs mp3ed and shared to get things started. Please feel
