funny thing is ...I happen to have gone to school for
Music Theory and Composition and I do know what that
means.
Unfortunately...classical music sticks to the half
tone scales which just don't do justice to all of the
other available tones.
I don't recall doing any name calling...please refresh
my memory.
My supposed ignorance is based on the wealth of
knowledge given to me by professors...who taught me so
eloquently that I can think for myself and disregard
everything that they wanted me to MEMORIZE.
Knowledge is much more than what has been done a
thousand times....and music in the underground is
going beyond what has been done a thousand times.
I did not say that classical knowledge was bad....
But i did say that I did not see the point in everyone
learning it because I do not think that is necessary
for music to progress.
I admire BOC for doing something with classical
knowledge....
I just don't think "classical" is the be all end all
to understanding music.
