not necessarily true. Some of the music I create is first created on my
guitar, are you going to say I am not a musician just because I sampled it
and didn't play it live? Being a musician doesn't mean you have to be able
to play music, you have to know how to write, compose it. In the Miriam
Webster's dictionary it defines's a musician as:
Main Entry: mu·si·cian
Pronunciation: myu-'zi-sh&n
Function: noun
Date: 14th century
: a composer, conductor, OR performer of music; especially :
(emphasis on OR added)
So, pressing play is like being the conductor. Although you don't play any
instruments, you conduct or compose, therefore being considered a musician.

Miriam Webster's dictionary:
Main Entry: per·for·mance
Pronunciation: p&(r)-'for-m&n(t)s
Function: noun
Date: 15th century
1 a : the execution of an action b : something accomplished : DEED, FEAT
2 : the fulfillment of a claim, promise, or request : IMPLEMENTATION
3 a : the action of representing a character in a play b : a public
presentation or exhibition <a benefit performance>
4 a : the ability to perform : EFFICIENCY b : the manner in which a
mechanism performs <engine performance>
5 : the manner of reacting to stimuli : BEHAVIOR
6 : the linguistic behavior of an individual : PAROLE; also : the ability to
speak a certain language -- compare COMPETENCE 3
For shit's an giggles, here is another:
Main Entry: performance art
Function: noun
Date: 1971
: a nontraditional art form that consists of or features a performance by
the artist
- performance artist noun
So really, it doesn't have to involve the use of "non-sequenced"
instruments, you are simply putting on display what you have created.

I disagree. They to are Musicians like a composer.

Based on the definitions I have presented, that is obviously some biased
opinion you have created for yourself. But you cannot deny the credibility
that someone like Autechre or even Fatboy Slim are musicians and performers.
Just because you don't like it doesn't constitute otherwise. Be careful of
how you evaluate what is true before you end up in a place ignorant like our
parents who some can't stand our music and say the same things to us. We
don't wish to continue that cycle do we? Break free and expand your ideas.
