. E*Vax: parking lot music cd (Audio Dregs)
After picking up two E*Vax 7"s last year on Static Caravan and Audio
Dregs, I was hooked. E*Vax had the perfect combination of warm analog
melodies and crisply intricate percussions. Earlier this week I was
finally able to get a copy of the new E*Vax album, parking lot music,
and have found more of the same delightful sound. For me this sound
(and this album for that matter) combines the best of Isan and maybe
Solvent to deliver a warmth and simplicity that just melts my ears.
Beautiful and recommended. The 7" contains three more unreleased
tracks but it seems to have a darker feel to it. It's still good but
not as good as parking lot music which WILL be one of my favorites
