definitely pick up the plod cd - can't go wrong. i'd say the track you heard (markkinal) is fairly representative of their sound - warm, electronic, slightly-more-complex-than-your-average-idm melodies. a damn good release. in a similar vein, i might check out gimmik - slow motion process. melodic in a plod way, but weird and somewhat glitchy in a... different way. lessee, other stuff that came out this year... the new jega cd is pretty good. and check out luomo - vocalcity for some of that funky minimal diva house flava we all crave. that's been a hit around these parts for awhile. ooh, and if you don't yet have hermann & klein - kickboard girl ep, you must buy it. other things i've liked recently: cex - role model aphelion - zugzwang leaf records "osmosis" comp detroit escalator company - excerpts manitoba - 30 sec samples at www.homebass.com (when the fuck am i going to be able to get my hands on this?) can't think of anything else, brain fried. nub np. speedy j - patterns --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
