No offense, Ed, but I really can't agree with you. The content of some of
these threads has gotten so bad, that it the list itself becomes a waste of
my time. By the time I apply filters and decide who I want to filter out,
I've already put way more time and effort into making the list a better
experience for me than it's worth. If these kinds of threads are allowed to
flourish unchecked, the list ceases to be the information and artistic haven
for IDM that I subscribed for and have come to expect from five years of
reading it...
Besides... the person I "filter" out today may have something really
necessary to add to the list later. Having to resort to filtering people out
stifles the atmosphere that this list is supposed to be all about.
I would just also ask that the moderator make the list an environment that
forces some people who lack... to stay on track.
