yeah. for a while, myself and a friend noticed that every hit song was track 3. of course, this was back in the 90-95 era, but it's like any situation - when you only have about 10-13 tracks per album, and with the quantity of tracks that come out, you can pretty much notice any trend you like :) i do like how a lot of IDM albums put really really good tracks towards the beginning, which i think is more of the result of IDM being a tad more obscure. in my opinion, obscure albums tend to be *much* more cohesive as a whole... likely because the artist makes the album :) so it starts off strong, and goes from there. but that's probably just in my head too :) but yeah, look at some older albums. you'll notice that a lot of them have the single as track 3 :) cheers, /derek - - - - - Alice could not help her lips curing up into a smile as she began: "Do you know, I always thought Unicorns were fabulous monsters, too! I never saw one alive before!" "Well, now that we HAVE seen each other," said the Unicorn, "if you'll believe in me, I'll believe in you. Is that a bargain?" --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
