It depends what you mean by a mediocre sequencer. It's audio editing features are unparalleled and TDM plug-ins are by far the most advanced format around (besides pluggo stuff). It's midi handling isn't that perfect but most people use audio almost exclusively these days. But I think the best part of PT is it's design. I compare it to Logic Audio, as they are sort of rivals. Logic has something like 50 different windows each with there own submenus. I'm not kidding, it's ridiculous. When I first got it I had to reference the manual to turn off the speaker-click metronome. Pro Tools, on the other hand, has *two* windows for the entire program. The edit window and the mix window. You edit your audio in the edit window, and you mix and balance your tracks in the mix window. A note about the free version: only 8 tracks of audio and 2 channels of audio-in, and you can't use TDM plugs. -l on 1/28/01 5:12 PM, erik pearson at efric@hotmail.com wrote:
