a moody exploration into new forms of electronic music : from
chillout vibes to funky dancefloor grooves to wild fits of snare rush
madness. beat-oriented, melodic, and carefully-crafted
sample/sythesis soundscapes, whereupon the noises and musics play out
their tales under the direction of the disc-jockey, aeflo.
++more precisely :
the show will be an hour-long mix of the diverse musics that make up
the highly fragmented genre of 'idm', with a little bit of commentary
by myself (and some silliness, i'm sure), and thematic episodes, such
as 'jazz influence in idm', with guest dj's that specialize in
various genres (hip-hop, dnb, etc.) that i will be working with. idm
will be at the core, but i will also be slipping in some tech-house,
downtempo, ambient, dnb, etc, where applicable. emphasis is on the
mix, unlike many college radio shows which favor eclecticism over
coherence.
