The CD version is one track, 60-some minutes long. The vinyl version simply splits up the track into smaller tracks. I would go for the vinyl (for the use you mentioned), and maybe get the one-track version off napster or something ecause it does need to be heard as one big piece. If you've heard it you understand. piece vzaem -----Original Message----- From: Jamie Rinaldi [mailto:jrinaldi@brandeis.edu] Sent: Thursday, January 25, 2001 4:07 PM To: idm@hyperreal.org Subject: [idm] Vladislav Delay's new album Hi. Does anyone have any comments on the new "Anima" album by Vladislav Delay. My concern before buying it is which version is better, the compact disc or the vinyl. As the Other Music website says "please note, LP has substantially different music." I dj for my college's radio station and would enjoy a album conducive to mixing. . .but if the compact disc provides a continuity that adds to the overall work I'd prefer it . . . I feel like I'm writing to consumer reports. . . -jamie --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
