Yes I would agree that Underworld deserves some Spotlight - even in the IDM realm.
Hard to define dance music that goes a bit beyond formulaic boring bullshit... I guess that's my definition...
Although I agree artists like Clark / Aphex / Squarepusher are indeed fulfilling the Intelligent criteria, I feel that there are now a wealth of options...
Glad you think that the music in the link fits in the Spectrum ;)

I've heard folks clearly separate the aphex/ae/clark timbre-focused stuff from the more breakbeat/breakcore a la Aaron funk junk. But of course a lot of those artists muddle in both puddles.
