there were obviously very high expectations for this new EP and im sure that
no one felt it more than boc. Personally i really do enjoy this release,
although the first track and the title track were the ones that stuck out
immediately for me. these kind of releases serve best as (for me at least)
space out listening sessions. when i listen to autechre or the like sometimes
i concentrate too hard on the technicalities of the song (which at times
isnt bad) and dont just let myself zone out and appreciate the flow and the
mood of it. ive heard some people say that the songs are too unchanging and
too looped based. loops arnt bad! with looped music i can concentrate on
other things or just not concentrate at all. its definitely an EP with a
certain mood in mind, so it gets my vote for one of the best chill-out albums
this
year.
