Checked out Twerk & Co. on Friday evening, man what a scene. Twerk was
rockin' a laptop with a Peavey 1600x midi controller, and dropped some of
the sickest minimal techno I've heard in a while. Downstairs, there was an
assortment of DJ's playing alls kinds of crazy stuff. It was a great show.
The crowd there was like a SF laptop convergence. I spotted Kid606, Kevin of
Blechdom, Sutekh, Kit Clyton, Jonah Sharp of STC, and O.S.T........It's a
very supportive community. :)
The venue itself, Joypad, is great space. It's got 2 floors with individual
sound systems, and the space is also an art gallery. They also have these
great old-school Atari systems set up downstairs.
