in the new cmj (the one they send to radio stations, probably not the one
you buy at news stands) there is a feature on the san francisco "laptop
techno" scene. btw, i think that's a pretty good name for idm, one i'll
probably start using. kid606, matmos, cex (admittedly not san fran), kit
clayton, and a few others are mentioned. if there is enough interest, i
could scan/ocr it and post the writeup. sutekh is in there as well. it's
a little topical, but not bad, esp. for cmj.
