i have all 3 of his Leaf releases and each is worth investigating in its own
right. Probably the best for what you're looking for is "Magic Thread." This
release meanders between organic ambience and clicky beats, every other
track. I think it's the most consistently good of the 3. "Image" is the
least rewarding overall only because it functions more as a curiosity and
insight into this less housy side of Yokota but is largely a compilation of
older tapes (poor quality) of ambient and/or found sound improvisations. In
any case the 2 tracks on Osmosis are the best of the "Image" album IMO so
you've already got them.
I just got "Sakura" and haven't made it all the way through, but it appears
to be somewhere in between the other two in terms of content. Less rhythmic
than the alternate tracks of "Magic Thread" but not as scattered as the
various "Image" tracks.
