LOL! Sorry to take the piss, but if you believe that Richard would be honest with you, a mere 'fan' (no disrespect intended) you honestly need to think again. Richard has said many things to many people, 75-80% which is not true. the Q-Chastic 10" does exist, I have it on good authority from others that it does. Rich and G and Mike D did the UI, half the tracks each e.g.: Rich=Green (with G on the 7") and Red, and MD on Yellow and Blue. Then again, I could could be totally wrong, and then you can piss all over me :O] As they say, the proof is in the pudding. But, let's hope you're right :O] Regards, Joyrex www.joyrex.com <http://www.joyrex.com> - The Aphex Twin Resource. -----Original Message----- From: Christopher Mathieu [mailto:topher@aphextwin.zzn.com] Sent: Tuesday, November 28, 2000 12:10 PM To: idm@hyperreal.org Subject: [idm] Long-awaited answers about Aphex !! Hi there, I've been a bit of a lurker for the past few years but I just figured I would only open my mouth when necessary and I think that time has come. I was at Turnmills in London last Saturday to see Aphex Twin spin for 3 hours. I asked him 3 essential questions and these are the answers: - The Q-Chastic double-10" DOES exist. Therefore it is no longer a rumour. - His involvement with the Universal Indicator Compilations: he did 3 tracks on the RED one. - His future projects: he IS going to release new stuff soon and is starting a new label ! He sounded sincerely grateful for my interest in his music. He was truly very very nice. Musicwise, the party was rather cool too, great tracks but great mixing fuck-ups too and K-Rock was alternating with him way too often in my opinion, which kept Richard from playing with fluidity. There was actually no fluidity. You could switch from trance to drum'n' bass, from techno to hip hop and from acid house to breakbeat in a wink... but most of the tracks were great... I just believe he wasn't so much into it last night... just another party... Now these are all good news, aren't they ? :-) Topher.
