oh.. those B&W603 S2s are *really* nice..
i bought some a couple of months back
+ a 15yr old amp/preamp:
Naim NAP-140 Power Amplifier
Naim NAC 32-5 Pre Amplifier
which are virtually identical to the present models

but about 10-20% of the price...
i was aiming for about us$1000 too.. and this setup was a little over that
price.. but what you get is *so much* worth it. . ..
