We've got Proem, we've got FXC, we've got the Logic Theorist. 2 live PAs and
1 DJ.
What can you expect to hear? Logic Theorist is going to spin atmospheric
drum n bass for the masses before, between, and after the live PAs, so
something you can definitely groove out to.
FXC plays weirded out semi-drill n bass with ocassional hard house bits? Oh
heck, trying to explain him is too much. Just think of the weird guy in your
class. No, not the psychopath who stuck firecrackers up cat's butts, the one
who read Voltaire but was still fun to hang out with. Old video games and
Nintendo collide with retro kitsch cartoons in a high speed chase to finish
up at nowhere. No, that doesn't make any sense. But it's good. Listen for

Proem has come up with an amazing record for Sonic Therapy that we hope to
get the money to put out RSN. It's called "Certain Kinds of Tragedy". You

sound like? Well, it's a bit somber since it's tied to some recent bad
things that have happened in his life. Imagine Autechre with melodies again.
Throw in a dash of Boards of Canada for that nostalgia for childhood sound.
And if that's not enough to whet your appetite, Proem didn't sit around.
He's got a new release out (MP3 only!) that you can find at

artwork. It's more melodic, and a little more uptempo.
For those of you in Dallas familiar with this kind of music, Logic Theorist
should need no introduction. He's a great kid, he's got the love of music in
his heart, and he spins like 100 different styles. I told him to leave his 2
step garage records at home, though.
The fliers, they aren't that fancy. The acts, they aren't that huge. We
can't afford Paul Oakenfold or a 12" by 12" tri-fold card stock with anime
characters and text mapped onto spheres. But we believe in the music and we
believe that it's good. So do something a little different this Saturday
night and come check this out. Besides, the place closes at midnight, so
there's still plenty of time to hit another party.
