I tend to think of Autechre track titles as ineffable. That is: These Things Should Not Be Uttered. It makes more sense when you realize that the titles, when strung together, are actually cabalistic codes, which, when the whole of Autechre's eventual output is deciphered, will reveal the true name of God, at which point Socrates the illiterate will suddenly and eternally violate Plato with a skateboard, on a DVD skip, in a neverending return of the same (keeping in mind that the ancient Greeks viewed the reading of the written word--always out loud--as akin to sodomy, the words infused with the essence and voice of the one who first engraved them, entering on one end and leaving through the other).
