I would have to say Last Rites by Skinny Puppy is a good dark album to play.
To me, the last track 'Download' is an awesome one. I would probably switch
between that, the swans, phthalocyanine, and halber mensch by einsturzende
neubauten all night.
If you haven't listened to 'Download' (the song) in a while, or have never
heard it, go listen to it now! Had it been the last track that Skinny Puppy
ever did, I think it would've been perfect, or at least the perfect
transformation from analogue puppy to the digital sounds of 'the eyes of
stanley pain' by download. If you listen to the whole last rites and then
put on eyes of stanley pain right afterwards, you'll see what I'm talking
about. Let's just pretend 'the process' never happened...
