As it was I was distinctly in head nodding / shuffling feet around almost dancing mode, and in addition I was talking to a couple of cool people at the time (go ahead, kill me - the music was so loud we weren't bothing anyone, I'm sure). To give you an idea of his set, I turned to Sonic D and said "it's like the sounds of pixelated whales". This is usually a good thing, except that a) I like analog whales more and b) dropping said while, either bit-mapped or regular, into the middle of some rather beat oriented stuff was sort of odd. I guess that it makes sense not to have put him on after Pole, since then more people would have left and the bar gotten less money, but it would have made more sense to me to have John Tejada and his wonderful mother on in Mr. Clayton's slot, and him on after Pole so that the night kinda chilled out and people could listen intently. Instead I was just too excited to be watching everyone to sit still and *listen*, which is what his set cried out for. Shutting my eyes a few times did help, of course. Well, just wanted to add my two tangential cents into the matter....
