Ekswyzia - Logans EP (Phthalo)
Finally got around to checking this out. I have to say I think this is both brilliant
and cheesy at the same time. Sort of 70's Jan Hammer meets Sun Ra meets a free jazz
drum machine. The drum machine stuff gives it this mid-80's, lower east side, Elliot
Sharp kinda feel though which always makes you lose some points in my book. If
samples of real drums were used instead it would have sounded even better. So this is

I get annoyed when people start talking about how this and that mainstream thing
sounds like IDM, but I have to say the backing track on "S.Carter" sounds like "I
Care Because You Do" era Aphex.

Ambarchi / Fennesz / Pimmon / Rehberg / Rowe - Afternoon Tea (Ritornell)
This is OK, not great though.
John Cage / Joëlle Léandre - The Wonderful Widow Of Eighteen Springs (Wergo)
I actually don't like this one that much.
Terry Riley - In C (CBS)
Tons of other stuff sitting around waiting to be listened to.
