Don't know who that is, but as I love Michael Book's sound, I may give some recommandations I feel valid in comparison : You should definitively listen to Absynthe from Naked City (John Zorn)! Though Fred Frith plays in it, Bill Frissell handles the guitars : some of the tracks are really noisy almost post industrial, but track number 7 or 8 is just one of the single purest moment of music ever made... After that, you should try to listen to Bill Frissell's pre 90ies work... There's few albums really completely good, but you'll definitivly find some beautiful landscapes there! Then listen to Jon Hassel's first album and last album for the most beautiful ambient trumpet soundscapes ever played, and lastly his collaborations on the second CD of Re Entry from Techno Animal, their second album and their best work to date! Other records artists of mention : Main, Jim O'Rourke on Staalplaat & Extreme (I mean ONLY those)...
