Hullo, I recently acquired a white-label 12" with just a stamp stating "SUGAR-PLUM 372 0391" - does anyone know about this release? I know that Stasis released one on Sugar Plum, and I'm not sure if this is the one or not. Some of the sounds are quite familiar, but yet distinct in the same way as with Pure Plastic PP013 12", Stasis's ``Block''. The catalog code from the runout groove is SP1, so this is the first release on Sugar Plum. I've checked with my discographies, and there is an entry for a Sugar Plum 12", a white label with catalog code SP1. But if anyone has any more information on this record, please forward it to me. Here is a list of Pickton-related records that I own, first the full ones (with _all_ tracks by or with Pickton): Stasis - ``Circuit Funk'' (Peacefrog UK PF013 12") Stasis - ``History Of Future'' (Mo Wax Excursions UK MWEX008 12") Stasis - ``Block'' (Pure Plastic UK PP013 12") Stasis - ``Disco 4000'' (Time Is Right UK TIR005 12") Stasis - ``Point Of No Return'' (B12 Records UK B1211 12") Stasis - ``Inspiration'' (Peacefrog UK PF028 2xLP) Stasis - ``From The Old To The New'' (Peacefrog UK PF046 2xLP) Paul W. Teebrooke - ``Nova'' (Op-Art UK OP4 12") Paul W. Teebrooke - ``Thing 1'' (Otherworld UK OW002 12") Paul W. Teebrooke - ``Connections'' (Op-Art UK OP6 2xLP) Ye Olde Ted Howler Rhythm Combo - ``Crusader'' (Otherworld UK OW004 12") Skye - ``Sky Files Vol.1'' \ (Pure Plastic The Ted Howler Rhythm Combo - ``Mr Flakey'' / UK PP020 12") Stasis/Kapellmeister/Paul W.Teebrooke/Phenomyna (Otherworld UK OW001 12") Phenomyna - ``Scratch/Everlast'' (Otherworld UK OW003 12") Phenomyna - ``Unexplained'' (A.R.T. UK ART5CD CD) Phenomyna - ``Explained'' (A.R.T. UK ART5.1 12") Phenomyna - ``Explained'' (A.R.T. UK ART5.2 12") Kape I'll Miester - ``Edgey'' (Pure Plastic UK PP010 12") Kape Ill Miester - ``Top/Bottom'' (A13 UK A007 12") The Other World Collective - ``Day World'' (Peacefrog UK PF017 12") Here are the single tracks and remixes etc.: Stasis - ``20ft Scarf'' (Pure Plastic UK PP004 12") Stasis - ``Monolife'' (Likemind UK LM03 12") Stasis - ``Funky Purple Hotpants From Planet Disco'' (Likemind UK LM01 12") Stasis - ``Belters Theme'' (Likemind UK LM01 12") Stasis - ``Artifax'' (Likemind UK LM01 12") Stasis - ``Magnetic Structure'' (Native Sampler UK NS1 12") Stasis - ``Space'' (Native Sampler UK NS2 12") Kape I'llmusier - ``Gaspar (Dreamaphobia Mix)'' (A13 UK A001 12") Kape I'llmusier - ``Gaspar'' (A13 UK A001 12") Phenomyna - ``Into The Otherworld (Black Dog Mix)'' \ (New Electronica UK Phenomyna - ``Earthfall (Nuron Mix)'' > ELEC27CD CD) Phenomyna - ``Got The Urge (Stasis Mix)'' / Repeat - ``Lilt-A (Stasis Mix)'' (A13 UK A006 12") Repeat - ``Lilt-A (Phenomyna)'' (A13 UK A006 12") As One - ``Theme From Op-Art (Stasis Mix)'' (Shield FR SHLD4 12") Tony Dax - ``Repercussion (Stasis Mix)'' (Theory UK TR002 12") Ben Sims - ``Retrovert (Engineered by S. Pickton)'' (Theory UK TR001) So there. There may be some more remixes stashed somewhere in my shelf, the above are the ones I could grab without too much thinking. The only Stasis release I'm missing is ``The Sound Of Stasis'' on Multiplex, DK, MUPL15, 12" - if anyone has a spare copy I'd be interested in purchasing it off you. One curious thing are the four different variants of Kape I'll Musier (that's what I think it really should be - please correct me if I'm wrong). As far as I know, it is a collaboration between Pickton and Broom. Now, the original issue - if anyone has any more info on the Sugar Plum release and/or has the Multiplex Stasis EP for grabs, do not hestitate to contact me. What is Pickton up to nowadays? The last ones I have found are the Native Sampler EPs with two unreleased Stasis tracks, and that was quite a long time ago...
