If you must know, this was a response to some lister who asked some general question about Scorn, who I happen to really like. But on top of that, one thing that I've found extremely valuable on this list is that there are so many people who are knowledgable and are willing to share their opinions on all sorts of different music. Just within the past few months we've had threads on everything from classical to jazz to metal to Madonna. Besides, the lines are so blurred now as to what is IDM and what isn't. Once you rule out Scorn, somebody will want to rule out Squarepusher, and then Bola and so on just because they think "they're not IDM anymore" and then we're back to arguing about arguing. np: The Golden Age of Russian Guitar Vol. 2 Oleg Timofeyev guitarist
