For DJ stuff on 1200s, I also prefer the Orofons. Since I don't back-cue
and scratch around much, I use a pair of the Night Clubs (yellow tips).
For home listening, I would avoid the Audio Technicas, as they sound
rather thin and screechy. If you can find one, even the lowest end Grado
will run rings around the other cartridges in its price range. It's hard
to describe - they just sound nice.
