Nicotine provides for your brain a synthetic rush of the neurotransmitter
dopamine, which is the prime regulator of all "good" feelings that you have.
Hence the extra dopamine makes you feel good, so the problem then is that when
you quit, you experience a dopamine deficiency. I still smoke, but the times
i've tried to quit the only things that have made it easier were:
1. an ssri, being the anti-depressants, prozac, luvox, paxil, celexa etc.
These even out ur brain a bit.
2. Dexedrine. commonly prescribed for ADD, dexedrine is dextroamphetamine, and
gives you the dopamine rush that you would commonly associate with cigarettes.
Those are my tips, get RX's if you can.
props,
cdin
