ROTFLMAO!!!! Myself and a couple of mates produced these tracks back in 1993. They appeared on "Trance Trippin", a compilation album released by Jumpin & Pumpin. There seems to be lots of other J&P material in this collection too. Anyway, we were basically given free studio time to piss around with and knocked these tracks up in a few weeks. Very commercial melodic techno -- not the sort of experimental stuff we preferred to do, but it was a way to kill a summer between terms at uni. We actually produced every track on the album, although J&P published it to look like a compilation album of various artists, pretty much in the same way that the "Earthbeat" compilation was actually just FSOL under various guises. Hehe, great stuff. This guy's missed off Emtorino - "Sanction" and Mashed - "5am in Barringo" (one of my faves) though, otherwise it's pretty much the whole album. The Delirious Pink Dog track is 100% me though and my favourite out of the lot (it was written in 1992, originally titled "Blue Noise", and for a completely different solo album project). I've stuck up a couple of MP3s on my Demon web server, if anyone's curious. Probably the best couple of tracks on the entire album. But go easy on me, this is 7-8 years ago we're talking about! Meallo - "Satyagrahi" http://www.sonance.demon.co.uk/meallo.mp3 A bit Aphex Twin SAW2-ish, although written a year before SAW2 was published! Delirious Pink Dog - "Three Walls, Two Ceilings" http://www.sonance.demon.co.uk/pinkdog.mp3 Written in 1992, influenced by the likes of 808 State, The Orb, FSOL and Anne Dudley & Jaz Coleman's "Songs from the Victorious City". These MP3s come from the original "Trance Trippin" CD. -- Mark Stevens http://www.headspin.clara.net/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
