Not perhaps totally applicable to this, but I use sample-based tracking software to write my music and the last piece I released was 9.2 megs of 16-bit 44.1kHz mono samples. Most tend to be around 4mb, but I have two tracks in progress which are around 8mb and growing... G-love. http://www.gram.org.uk
