Well yes the dynamic range and signal to noise is inferior to s2000 but
seeing as Akai's are so poor in respect to fidelity compared to EMU's it is
all academic. I've been told the filters and time stretch sound better in
the way they degrade and colour the sound. But that could just be one of
those stories people make up without justifying. Anyway the S2000 has that
horrid 2x16 LCD doesn't it? And MIDI transfers how can you put up with
that. I'd love an S1000PB.
They are selling s2000's where i work for £350 with full RAM but i wouldn't
get one.
