A friend of mine bouhg tan s1100 (loaded s1000) that came with an expander (something I didn't know akai made) which is basically another s1100 w/o the display eyc. and it has to be controled from the other s1100 connected by scsi..anyway he paid $675 for the lot. The ram is very expensive. but it does sound better than an s2000 and is easier to get around on. we put it side by side w/my s2000 and the difference was quite obious. it just sounds fuller, warmer, whatever. But I still wouldn't buy one. Ther are too many good expandable feature packed samplers out there for a bit more money. steve ----------
