when a large corporation drops boucoups dough on a musician to simply
allow them the right to play 15 seconds of a track on their teevee
commercial, i think it's a great way to convert a small amount of
credibility into a huge amount of equipment and high-fashion trousers.
of course you always run the risk of becoming known as "the band that did
that 'da da da' song" or whatever, but i gotta say ... the dollars that
these ad firms will pay for the rights to a song is pretty amazing.
