Well, that's what I meant when I said that it makes me wonder just what exactly makes a record label independent because, technically, Jive are. They are technically the biggest independent record label in the world. But I agree, somehow the new *nsync record just don't feel as independent to me as, say, the latest Tree Records release. So if anyone knows what specific characteristics define independent, I'd be interested in knowing.
