may as well get in on the fall00 thread in its infancy: i have downloaded a
solitary studio 'kid a' track off napsta just minutes ago: idioteque. this
is purported to be their discoest track of the new. as could be expected,
it is severely good. sharp attention aversion at 11 seconds, echoic 4/4
snare beat with tight bass kicks a la funkstorung, falling -or- rolling
shrapnel on the left in the :45 range, spacious vocals('i swallow till i
burst'), synthetic hollow sounds pitched around a la plastikman on the left
during second verse, reverse effect mimics the beat at 3:10, loads of awry
whirring(more akin to the end of 'blowout'(pablo honey) than, say,
'airbag'), 'climbing up the walls'esque comedown. 'everything, all of the
time', indeed. though then where is the discussion in this? will the album
validate idm on/ fused with a major? is there anyone on the list who is not
eager to listen to it? does the band dance to its own idm? can it be a
success by the idm standard if it is excellently piercing but not innovative
in comparison to those artists of routine discussion? when will there be a
kid606 remix?
