true. one of the interesting parts of making music is the music-maker's
tastes coming out in the music. whenever i hear some really crappy
general-midi dance-track, i always wonder "did the person making this
actually think it was good?" it's sort of an odd situation, really, but
some people hear autechre and just hear a jumble of noise.

speaking of autechre comparisons, i think the funkstorung comparisons have
died down, mainly with that new album (that didn't seem to get the best
reviews...). it's good that they've developed into more of their own
sound, but it's too bad more people liked them when they sounded like
autechre... hmm...
