So I picked up an MPC2000XL (I got the studio+ so I have the effects,
I/O and SMPTE boards in it, as well as 32MB of RAM) last week and I have
had a hell of a time making anything decent with it...
I know there are a lot of people that use it as the center of their
studio (u-Ziq comes to mind) so I'm wondering if anybody out there has
one and has some tips on how to make it not suck.
I can't believe you can't change effects/filters while a sample is
playing, or resample something through the effects for example... I
really can't see why people would think an MPC is any better than even
FastTracker (same sound quality but Fast Tracker is cheaper and can
change the pitch or volume of something while it's playing, for
example).
I'm really tempted to return this and either go back to my computer or
get a high end Emu (the E4XT Ultra is calling my name).
