I have to respectfully disagree with the above. You can certainly spot
obvious metasynth use on a number of IDM releases, including say Lilley of
the Valley, but the potential of the app to deliver very different sounds
that do not sound, for lack of a better phrase, 'all sparkly' is certainly
there. I think a big part of this is a lot of people for whatever reason
use the built in waveforms or variations thereof which all have a very
similar and identifiable sound...
