Hi there,
just to clear up the confusion, the Mark Bell involved with 20:20
vision is *not* Mark Bell of LFO; hes a house producer who (i think) also
records as Blakkat and has recorded with Doc Martin. Mark LFO Bell was the
one who did the remix of Bjorks "Alarm Call", though; he's done a lot of
production work for her and is supposed to be currently working on her new
stuff (as well as Alec Empire, so ive heard). Basically steer clear of the
Shaboom/20:20 Vision Mark Broom if, like me, you are not a fan of things
house; otherwise those in the know tell me its good stuff.
I believe Mark LFO Bell's movements since Advance have, as well as
an appearance on Wap100, included some techno 12"s under aliases, and
running the Syncopate label (im pretty sure; i believe there was an article
in Magic Feet about it a couple of years ago). Syncopate stuff was hard
looped techno in the Space DJz / Chris McCormack vein and i believe is now
very difficult to find, but is well worth tracking down. I cant locate a
discography for Syncopate anywhere but i think it ran to 5 or 6 releases as
well as an appearance on a Magic Trax split 12" with Downwards.
Hope this helps!
