Okay, what have you guys been listening to lately?
I'm looking to expand my skint, provincial horizons, so the more cutting edge
and underground the better. Short descriptions would probably be good too.
My tunes of the moment (the ones that have filtered out as far as me) are:
Hamijama: Cultivar (Beta Bodega). A bit old and obvious, but I put it on
again and finally got into it a couple of weeks ago. Techy housey dubby
melodic rhythmic gumbo.
Matrix: See Off (Chain Reaction). Predictable but excellent deep dubby techno.
John Beltran: The Sky EP no. 2 (Exceptional). I've rambled about this one
before. Suffice to say Watercoloured Dreams (gently percussive ambience)
still gives me goosebumps.
Various Artists: Chasing the Chimera (Creeping Bent). Compilation on a mainly
weirdy indie label, and none the worse for it. IDM represented by the likes
of Future Pilot AKA and Scientific Support Dept.
